I'm doin’ a 2-day workshop on prisoner zines. A teerific
woman by the name of Sarah Eaton, who does theatre and
writing projects with Michigan prisoners, will also present
‘The first day went really good. Maybe twenty-five people cam
and offered their input, encrgy and enthusiasm. I caught par
of another workshop being held outside under a tree. ‘They
were talking about the internel, ¢-zincs, downloading and
propagating information, Seattle and how best Lo tear down
this goddam sick system.

1 had some terrific conversations, learned a ton of valuibl
information, was turned onlo an awesome postal s
even got a shower in, somehow.

The food was greal! They had spaghetti, rice, tofu. pita
bread, salad, bagels, beans, cut-up potataes and sala 1n some
church sanctuary. They prought food right to the room we
were all tabling at, too. There was some kind of film thing.

F'm home now. It's Monday morning. Sunday was real cool,
too. Tloaded up on zines. First, I drove around trying to find a
coffee shop. 1 found one and gulped down a glass of coffee.
Then I went to the other coffec shop, because they also have a
book store. I bought four really good books for about 1/3 cover
price. I arrived at the zine room right al 9 am when they
unlocked the: doors. 1 organized my papers and put some Van
Morrison on the tape deck. No one else was around until about
9.40. 1 went around and quickly jotted down the names of peo-
le. distros and zines of people. Here's the list I came up with,
